Congrats to our female athlete of the month, Alyssa!
Alyssa is one of those athletes that might fly under the radar a bit but don’t let her fool you, she works hard, stays consistent and is amazing at taking direction from coaches. She was one of our first athletes at CrossFit River Prairie and she’s been improving since the day she walked in the door. Alyssa knows her body and her limits well but still pushes and challenges herself to learn new skills and become a better athlete. Her laugh is contagious and she takes her workouts seriously but knows how to laugh at herself along the way.
We asked her a few questions about her CrossFit experience, read below to see what she had to say:

A different challenge every day. The coaches and other athletes make it fun as well
What are 1 or 2 accomplishments when it comes to your health and fitness that you’ve experienced since starting at CrossFit River Prairie?
Increased weight on strength moves from when I first started

What is your least favorite exercise?
Assault bike, running, box jumps, lunges
What would your advice be to someone just starting out CrossFit or that’s thinking about starting?
Just start! Every workout can be scaled to your fitness level.
